Description

Cedrus Deodara has a nutty, woody, hue and warm scent. Cedarwood thrives in a relatively colder climate, in high altitude and grows up to 100 feet high. Cedarwood has a grounding aroma that arouses emotional and spiritual wellbeing when applied topically. 

This essential oil is widely known for its multiple therapeutic properties. Cedarwood essential oil supports the respiratory system as well as helps to maintain a flake-free scalp.

Uses

  • Cedarwood has a relaxing and grounding aroma which soothes the mind and body. 
  • Helps to restore skin health.
  • It has diuretic and antiseptic properties.
  • It can also be used as an insect repellant.

How to use

Diffuse

Six to eight drops of Cedarwood essential oil can be added to a diffuser.

Inhalation

Few inhalations direct from the bottle can help you reduce stress at work or while in a car.

Bath

Add at least five drops of Cedarwood essential oil in a dispersant such as oil, to nourish the skin.

Topical Application

Mix one drop of Cedarwood essential oil to a 5 ml choice of carrier oil and apply it on chest, wrist or back of the neck.

Steam treatment

In a bowl containing steaming hot water, add two drops of Cedarwood essential oil. Place your face near to the top of the bowl and cover your face and back of the head with a towel to trap the aromatic vapours. Caution, if there are any risks or burns on the face, do not use this treatment.

Bergamot, Clary Sage, Cypress, Frankincense Carteri, Jasmine Absolute, Juniper Berry, Neroli, Pine Scots, Rosemary 1,8-Cineole, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang 

Caution 

Susceptible to skin sensitivity. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, ears, inner nose and other sensitive areas. Store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product. If you are pregnant, or a nursing mother, consult a physician.
